Our Background
In 2006, the group started to analyze the emerging "BRIC Alliance" countries, where the focus quickly centered upon the emerging market of Brazil.
Keith first went to the Northeast state of Rio Grande de Norte and its capital Natal in early 2007. On his second visit he also spent time in Fortaleza in the next door state of Ceara.
After six months of researching the market, assessing prospective partners and the potential for developing a business there, it was decided to establish an office in Fortaleza.
Two new companies were born, Kapital International Investment based in Scotland and sister company Kapital Nordeste based in Fortaleza.
Early in 2008, Kapital Nordeste bought a site in Ceara approx 1 hour north of Fartaleza, a beachfront resort called Praia Luxuosa. Planning permission has now been granted for 338 units on plots ranging in size from 450m2 to 1014m2.
Further projects include Fontainha Beach approximately 100kms south of Fortaleza, near the town of Canoa Quebrada.
Kapital Nordeste is working alongside a respected local design team to master plan a superb new beachfront community which ultimately could see up to one thousand units delivered. The proposals include superb oceanfront beach lots, typically of around 4500m2, luxury apartments and two hotels complete with leisure facilities.
Kapital International Investment provides International Real Estate services to our sister company in Brazil, Kapital Nordeste Empreendimentos Imobiliarios Ltda.
Kapital Nordeste undertakes real estate developments in the North East states of Caera. The company employs both Brazilian and European staff in its two offices, one located in Scotland, UK and one in Fortaleza, Ceara.

Our sister company in Brazil is Kapital Nordeste Empreendimentos Imobiliarios Ltda who undertake real estate developments in the North East states of Ceara and Rio Grande do Norte.
Chairman of Kapital International Investment is Keith Punler (read Keith’s profile here). A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Keith has over twenty years experience in the property sector.
