Hi my name is Keith Punler, and that’s me in that picture, addressing a special convention of European Real Estate Investors live in the Brazilian Embassy, at the request of the Brazilian Government in November 2008. What myself and a panel of experts in the field (including the Chairman of the Brazilian Real Estate Association and Tourism) had to share was at once both thrilling and sobering to say the least.

Before I go any further, this is also me meeting with the Duke of Edinburgh (photograph to the left) in recognition of my support for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme in 2003. You see for over 20 years I’ve loved this industry, and have won many awards to prove it (in fact I´m totally passionate about it – read obsessed!). However, if you are about to buy land or property in Brazil then what follows next will probably worry you.
